Ribadeo is a sailor village of about ten thousand inhabitants situated in the border between Galicia and Asturias (Spain) with a protected historical quarter and a attractive martime skyline. The existent slope of more than thirty metres in a short space, hampers the communication between both parts of the quarter, favouring the marginalisation of some areas situated in a cul-de-sac.
Our proposal poses an element of connection in the joint between both areas that favour the communication. A case of black concrete with texture of slate contains a panoramic elevator with annexed stairs. In the basement a small information and control stall; in the top the slopes that surround the atrium of the chapel of the Watchtower and the ancient wall some work will be done to favour the accessibility. Some linear signals temper the existent illumination in this zone. In the elevator, small leds of courtesy.
Concrete, stone and steel complete a palette of sober material, with a puropse of integration, resembling a tower of the ancient wall, not renouncing to the representative character that an urban and landscaping action like this must have. After all it is the "highest" building of the village.Ver miscelánea completa
